Summer Black Friday sales were a big retail trend in 2012, but Mattel’s Black Friday in September sale marks the first time we’ve seen a retailer give it a try in early Fall.
Just launched today, the Mattel Black Friday sale features up to 60% off, plus free shipping.
There are more than 200 toys on sale including:
- Barbie FlyAway Rolling Luggage – $48.99 (was $69.99)
- The Sing-A-Ma-Jigs 4-Pack Bundle – $45.00 (was $52.00)

JCPenney has released their Black Friday 2011 ad. They will open at 4AM on Black Friday and over 500 doorbuster deals will be valid until 1PM. They will also be giving away a free Disney Mickey Mouse snow globe to early bird shoppers! This 72-page ad covers apparel, kitchenware, toys and more.
Notable deals from the JCPenney Black Friday ad, that were not included in the preview, include:
- Farberware 17-piece cutlery set for $19.88
- Pee Wee Pillow Pets for $12.99
- 5-Zone memory foam mattress topper for $38.88 for any size
- Coupons: $10 off $50, $15 off $75 and $20 off $100

Kohl’s has released their Black Friday 2011 ad! As we confirmed earlier, they will open at 12AM on Black Friday and will have over 500 Early Bird Specials through 1pm. This 64-page ad highlights toys, jewelry, home decor and more.
Some of the best deals we saw in the Kohl’s Black Friday Ad were:
- Norelco 6955X Electric Shaver for $29.99
- Corningware 10-piece bakeware set for $19.99
- iHome iP21 speaker clock for $39.99
- Samsonite Glyde 21″ spinner luggage for $79.99
