You’ve heard of Man v. Wild? Well, Black Friday camping is just as intense. Not only do you have to battle hoards of people to get the items you want, but, if you’re really serious, you have to face the environmental elements while camping out.
Camped out in line in the concrete jungle we call a store parking lot, there may be wind, snow, rain, sleet, and the inevitable turkey coma that remains from Thanksgiving dinner. This post is intended to equip you with the skills that you will need to help you survive the Black Friday camp out, and, ultimately, get the goods your set out for.
Some retailers, like Best Buy, offer extreme price cuts on big ticket items, generally have limited quantities. So some people camp out days ahead of time to get their hands on these deeply discounted products. This being said, pack and prepare accordingly.

10/8/12 – As of this past weekend, the price on the Samsung Galaxy S3 already has dropped to $99.99 with 2-year contract with Sprint. Verizon’s offering with 2-year contract is $139 and the same deal via AT&T is currently $119.

We know, it’s not even Halloween yet, but Sprint is already thinking forward to the holiday season. Thanks to anonymous tip given to engadget, we know that Sprint will offer the the Samsung Galaxy S III for only $49.99 on November 23, 2012. This deal will be available ONLY on Black Friday! According to the leaked ad, you will be saving $150 on the Samsung Galaxy S III at Sprint if you agree to a two-year contract. Supplies are expected to be limited, so plan to get there early to get your hands on the Samsung Galaxy S III at this incredibly low price.
The lowest price we found on the Samsung Galaxy S III is $179.99 with a 2 year contract at Best Buy, so the Sprint Black Friday 2012 promotion offers $130 in total savings from the current lowest priced deal that we found for that phone. (more…)

We received some awesome photo entries in our Black Friday 2011 Doorbuster Photo Contest! A few of them were so great we’ve passed them around the office. You guys all impressed us with your savvy doorbuster-shopping skills, but the winner made most of our jaws drop! We’re still busy posting all the 2011 Black Friday ads that come in. Black Friday is only 3 days away, and we still see several ads released each day. Today we’ve posted IKEA and Northern Tool and also saw some information about the Jos. A. Bank Black Friday Sale. We’ve rounded up a few highlights from each of the ads below.
2011 IKEA Black Friday Ad
IKEA will be having a 3-day Seize The Days Sale from 11/25-11/27. Each day they will have different specials that will be valid that-day only. On Black Friday you can get the Mala Easel for $9.99. Kmart has released their 2011 Black Friday ad! Their Friday Sale starts at 5AM on Black Friday and prices will last through 11AM.
Some doorbusters from the 2011 Kmart Black Friday Ad include:

Although we saw some HUGE releases from Best Buy, Walmart and Target this week, we’ve got a few more added. Little Tikes, Gamestop and Pep Boys all released their ads last night and might be worth a good look!
The 2011 Little Tikes Black Friday Ad has been released. This ad is for LittleTikes.com and the sales will be valid online 
only. Their sale is broken up into sections: you can start shopping their Early Bird Specials at midnight on 11/20. The 2011 Toys R Us Black Friday Ad has been released! They will be open in some locations at 9PM on Thanksgiving night, an hour earlier than the previously thought 10PM. The have over 150 doorbusters for all of you early birds! These prices will be valid from Thursday at 9PM to Black Friday at 1PM.

Best Buy has released their 2011 Black Friday ad. As we mentioned earlier, they will open their doors at 12AM on Black Friday and, like some other stores this year, you can shop BestBuy.com on Thanksgiving Day for more deals.
Some highlights from the 24-page 2011 Best Buy Black Friday Ad include:
- Sharp 42″ 1080p LCD HDTV for $199.99! (This is the first deal that has warranted a “!” from us)
- Toshiba Smart Blu-ray disc player for $39.99
- Lenovo AMD 15.6″ Dual-Core E-300 Laptop for $179.99
- Select DVDs for $.99

Most of their great deals are listed under “Doorbusters”, so you should plan for those quantities to be very limited.
