LivingSocial is joining the Black Friday fray, allowing shoppers to snag Black Friday deals without fighting the crowds. 
For the first time, the daily deals vendor is forgoing its usual fare of spas, restaurants and cheap weekend getaways to offer online-only deals from retailers such as Bluefly, EA and Verizon Wireless beginning Black Friday and running through Cyber Monday. According to an Associated Press article, nearly all of the deals to be featured will be for 50% off or more, including less than half-price magazine subscriptions or $40 for $80 at Wine.com.

How do you get every tweenage girl in America to choose your store on Black Friday? Put Justin Bieber in your Black Friday commercial, of course!
Do you really think J.B. would ever really stand in line at Macy’s for Black Friday deals? Neither do we.
International pop star and teen heartthrob Justin Bieber stars in a Macy’s Black Friday commercial that will hit the airwaves on Tuesday November 22nd. In the commercial, the Biebs encounters unlikely fans, including a chauffeur and manly warehouse staff who scream like 13 year old girls, while heading to Macy’s for their midnight opening on Black Friday.
“This Black Friday, Macy’s will open at midnight across the country for the first time,” said Martine Reardon, executive vice president of Marketing for Macy’s. “With humor and the help of Justin Bieber, we are reminding our customers to shop early at Macy’s to find the most desirable gifts at a great value.”
Macy’s is known for its celebrity-studded commercials, with stars drawn from the brands they carry including Jessica Simpson, Martha Stewart and others. This year, Justin Bieber is releasing a Macy’s exclusive perfume gift set called “Justin Bieber Someday”. In addition to a 1.7 oz. bottle of perfume, the set includes a Justin Bieber holiday CD and poster and is expected to sell out quickly despite its hefty $64 price tag – Beyoncé, Sean John and Rihanna’s own perfume sets offer twice as much Eau de Parfum for less cash. C’est la Biebs.

Hopefully all of you that joined us for The Walmart Release Twitter Party had as much fun as we did! We want to thank everyone for participating and especially those of you who stuck it out until the end!
One thing we really want to point out is that this 2011 Walmart Black Friday Ad is listed in stages. Part one of the sale starts at 10PM on Thanksgiving, electronics go on sale 12AM on Black Friday, and the third wave starts at 8AM on Black Friday.

The 2011 Radio Shack Black Friday Ad has been posted! They will be open at 5:30AM for their Shack Friday Sale and prices will last through Saturday. This ad covers tables, laptops, phones and more.
Some price highlights from the 2011 Radio Shack Black Friday Ad include:
- Nook Color for $199 with a free $20 gift card
- 2.1 Channel 8-Watt Speakers for $9.99
- iHome Slim Folio Case for iPad 2 for $9.99
- Nikon Coolpix 16.1MP Digital Camera for $119.99

Office Max holiday shoppers will be able to take advantage of Black Friday prices on Thanksgiving Day from the comfort of home. All Black Friday sale items will be offered at their Black Friday prices on the store’s website a full day before the doors open for the in store event. While there is no word yet on what items might be offered, we expect the deals to be competitive with those offered by rival Staples.
In addition to beginning Black Friday a day early, Office Max also has announced their “Black Friday Every Friday” promotion. Every Friday, one hot holiday item will be available online for one day only. The promotion will kick off on November 11 with the Toshiba L755-S5353 laptop, featuring an Intel Pentium B950 processor, 500GB hard drive and 4GB system memory for $369.99. Some deals will also be available in stores. Shoppers who text HOLIDAY to 62999 will receive a text message alerting them to the new sale item every Friday. ”Black Friday Every Friday” will run through December 16, 2011.

Best Buy hasn’t yet released its highly anticipated Black Friday ad, but the reluctant entrant to the midnight doorbuster race is offering shoppers a preview of their Black Friday sale. 
Stores open at midnight, but the online savings are slated to begin on Thanksgiving Day and several deals are online only.
“We are thrilled to offer our customers and over 5 million Facebook fans a sneak peek into this year’s hottest Black Friday deals today with additional items revealed soon,” said Barry Judge, Best Buy’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer. “We will continue to provide an advantage to our Facebook fans with early access to more offers and experiences than ever before.”
Best Buy’s midnight doorbusters will include:
- Dynex 24″ Class LCD 1080p HDTV for $79.99
- Samsung 15.6″ Laptop with Intel Pentium Processor 4GB RAM 320GB Hard Drive for $299.99
- Samsung Stratosphere 4G LTE (Verizon) for Free with 2-Year Activation
- Blu-ray combo pack movies including X-Men: First Class, Green Lantern, and Fast Five for $9.99 each

Sports Authority leaked their Black Friday Ad this morning.
The 11-page ad is called “Black Friday Savings” and announces a 5am store opening. Doorbuster specials run from 5am to 3pm on Black Friday, and a 2-day sale will run Friday and Saturday.
Some highlights from the Sports Authority Black Friday Ad include:
- Gamepower Top Spin Plus Table Tennis Table with Basketball Play for $159.99
- Pro-Form 6 ORT Treadmill for $349.99
- Razor E100 or E125 Electric Scooter for $89.99
- Reaction 26″, 24″ or 20″ Mountain Bikes for $99.99

Old Navy released their Black Friday ad this morning! The ad is 6 pages long and promises a free Kodak Easyshare Camera Bundle to shoppers spending $40 or more while supplies last.

Welcome to BlackFriday2011.com’s coverage of the Walmart Black Friday Preview!
The big reveal is set for 11:01pm Central. We’ll be listing items and prices in real time as they’re released, so keep refreshing your browser to get the latest list. In the meantime, you’re invited to join us on Twitter tonight from 9:30pm-11:30pm to talk about the Walmart Black Friday Preview and for a chance to win one of five $50 Walmart gift cards!
9:00pm - We’re seeing conflicting reports on whether this is a preview or the full ad. Walmart’s Facebook wall says “Tell your friends the Black Friday ad is almost here. Check back at 12:01am EST and be one of the first to see the incredible values!” That would seem to imply the full ad is to be released. On the other hand, the email we received very clearly states that the “Preview starts Thursday, Nov. 10 at 12:01 a.m. EST”. Either way, as soon as it’s released, we’ll be on it!
9:11pm - Walmart confirmed in comments on their Facebook announcement that it will be the full ad, NOT a preview! We’ll do our best to hit the highlights here on the blog.
10:02pm – Just under an hour to go, and the Twitter party is rockin’!
11:05pm – Let it begin! These are from an advance list from Walmart’s Media Relations team, leaked to us just a few minutes ago. Waiting to post this has been TORTURE! Keep in mind, this is just a preview – NOT an exhaustive list of all Black Friday deals. We’ll be diving into the ad next. More to come!

Hastings has leaked their 2011 Black Friday ad. The ad is eight pages long and announces doorbuster-like prices from 9pm-midnight on Thanksgiving, as well as from 8am-noon on Black Friday. 
The ad is split into two sections listing items and prices for Thanksgiving and Black Friday separately, so be sure to double check that the item you are seeking is listed in the section for the day you plan to shop.
Highlights from the Hastings Black Friday Ad include:
