Today we got our hands on the Toyland catalogs for both Blain’s Farm & Fleet and Mills Fleet Farm. 
Toyland will be open at Blain’s Farm & Fleet from Saturday, October 20th until December 24th. Doors will open at 7:00 am on October 20th, so if you want one of the hot toys featured in the 32 page catalog, make sure you get it early before it’s gone. In addition to shopping in Toyland, come to a Farm & Fleet location on Saturday, November 3rd at 9:00 am for “Kids Helping Kids.” You can register your children to win at any Farm & Fleet location. Each store will be giving away 6 gift cards for a total of $300 in giveaways per store. In addition to giving out gift cards, each store will donate $300 in the winners’ names to charities benefiting children in that store’s community. 
Toyland at Mills Fleet Farm will also be opening on Saturday, October 20th at 7:00 am. The Mills Fleet Farm catalog has 38 pages and includes a Fleet Farm wish list with page numbers so kids can give Santa a hint. In celebration of 57 years in business, Mills Farm Fleet will be selling a limited edition 1:24 scale 1957 Chevy Bel Air Die Cast Convertible. Supplies of the convertible are limited.

Summer Black Friday sales were a big retail trend in 2012, but Mattel’s Black Friday in September sale marks the first time we’ve seen a retailer give it a try in early Fall.
Just launched today, the Mattel Black Friday sale features up to 60% off, plus free shipping.

Now that Walmart and Toys R Us both have released their holiday lists, it’s time to start thinking about what toys will be hot on Black Friday. Every year there are certain toys that are deemed the, “Hot Toy” of the season. Adults will go to great lengths to get these items, including: standing in line for hours, purchasing it online for 4 times its actual value, ripping it out of another adults hands. Every year, like clockwork, the race to get these toy will begin. What will it be this year? Last year we compiled every hot holiday toy back to the teddy bear mania of 1903. Here are our predictions on what will be the hottest toys for the 2012 holiday season.
- Furby 2012 - The new Furby was designed with softer fur, and is available in more vibrant colors. It also has more internal sensors, so it is more responsive than the former Furby. The Furby 2012 can be connected to the iPhone and iPad mini to use with downloadable apps to up the fun factor.
- Tablets - Tablets have been found to be a great learning and entertainment tool for kids. A few suitable tablets for kids include: the iPad mini, LeapFrog LeapPad2 Explorer, Tabeo Kids Tablet, and the Nabi 2 Tablet for Kids
- Fijit Friends - Fijit Friends are interactive toys you an can poke, squeeze, and talk to and it will react. Their soft skin allows them to move and dance, and they are programmed to respond to over 30 phrases.
- Web Shooting Spider Man - This Spider Man action figure shoots webs out of its wrists, like the real spider man!
- Nintendo Wii U - Hitting stores November 18th, the Nintendo Wii U is available in white and black. The white console contains 8 GB of storage, and Black contains 32 GB . The new controller is called the Wii U GamePad and has an embedded touchscreen. Both come with a HDML cord, and are compatible with Wii. The new controller allows the user to continue playing the game on it, even when the television is off.

Earlier we reported on the rumor that Nintendo’s hotly anticipated Wii U might be released on Black Friday and today we know that the rumor was almost right. Nintendo announced today that Wii U will go on sale in the United States on November 18th, a full five days ahead of the Black Friday shopping rush.
The long-awaited Wii U goes on sale on 11/18!
According to a CNN Money report, there will be two versions of the Wii U available, both featuring a 6.2 inch touchpad. Players can play solo or multi-player games. Other Wii U features include video chat, TV remote, Near Field Communication (NFC), internet browsing, and Miiverse.
Video game retailer GameStop has confirmed that they will be accepting Wii U preorders, although the exact date is yet to be determined. Presumably, internet retailers like Amazon and Best Buy will also be taking preorders though this is not confirmed.
We’ve listed the package details below for quick reference. With the release date being just a few days ahead of Black Friday, we expect that demand will be high for the holidays.

Here at Black Friday by BradsDeals, we see a lot of holiday shopping tidbits come through during the week that either aren’t quite Black Friday news or aren’t quite enough to make a whole story on their own. 
Today we’re giving you the inside scoop on everything that hit our radar this week but that didn’t make it into posts of their own, including Kmart, Toys R Us, Radio Shack and Home Depot.
Three Holiday Toy Books Are Released
Kmart, Toys R Us and Target all have leaked or released their respective holiday toy guides and coupon books. This wasn’t exactly Black Friday news since the pricing on all three advertisements expires a full two days before Black Friday, but it’s clear that all three retailers are ramping up their holiday campaigns with these pre-Black Friday toy sales.

Let’s face it – our love of Black Friday is deeply rooted in our childhood anticipation for the toys Santa promised to bring. I’m pretty sure that Amazon’s wishlist feature can be traced back to the hours spent pouring over the annual toy catalogs with crayons, circling everything that we wouldn’t mind finding under the tree. And every year there was one toy that was more eagerly anticipated than the others, the one that would make our friends green with envy and bring us everlasting happiness. The memory of that toy lust even spawned A Christmas Story, cementing a nostalgic place in pop culture for Ralphie’s obsession with the Red Rider BB Gun for all time. We all remember what it was like to want that one perfect toy so very much!
We thought it would be fun to take a look at what those hottest toys have been throughout the last century and ended up going all the way back to 1903. What toy was your favorite?

Half Price Books Ad Posted
We’ve posted the Half Price Books Black Friday ad. Doors will open at 7am on the big day! The first 100 people will receive a tote bag and a $5 gift card. One lucky tote-receiver will get a $100 gift card. You will also be able to choose from either 40% off your highest priced item or $15 off a $50+ order.
Toys R Us Toy Catalog Leaked
This 81-page book showcases the Toys R Us sales which (according to the leaked book) will be valid 10/30-11/23. The quality of the leaked catalog isn’t quite fit for publication due to blurryness as well as current sale prices being lower than catalog sale prices. However, it looks like there are some great deals coming from them! Some highlights we’ve seen include:

While the Amazon Black Friday Ad has not yet been released, they are doing some prepping by getting their Black FridayPage up and running. They don’t currently have any of their Black Friday deals posted, but they currently list some of their lightning deals to hold you over. Bookmark this page to remind yourself to check for the release.

Blain’s Farm and Fleet released their Toy Catalog (similar to Toys R Us, this is not their Black Friday Ad). This 32-page ad features deals on toys, select audio equipment, holiday decor and more. Some highlights include:
