Black Friday, Black Friday, Gotta Go to Kohl’s on Black Friday

If finally happened – a major retailer nabbed Rebecca Black’s Friday for a Black Friday campaign. We speculated months ago that the Youtube viral video sensation would be a great fit for Black Friday.

Apparently Kohl’s agreed. Just as the world had finally managed to get the original out of its head, the Kohl’s Black Friday ad features a woman singing “Black Friday, Black Friday, gotta go to Kohl’s on Black Friday. Everybody’s going there at midnight, midnight” and she power-shops through the store, stealing items from other shoppers’ carts.

“You’ll be singing this song every day until Black Friday. Guaranteed,” says the video description on Kohl’s Youtube channel.

Gee, thanks Kohl’s.

You can see all of Kohl’s Black Friday deals in the Kohl’s Black Friday Ad.

Possible Kohl’s Black Friday Sneak Peek

We all know that doorbusters are the true stars of Black Friday, and Kohl’shas released a possible list of what their Black Friday doorbuster deals might include!

2011 Kohl's Black Friday Preview

The crowds on Black Friday line up for Kohl's Black Friday doorbuster deals

On the Kohl’s website, we found a Black Friday preview page that features toys, home goods, electronics, and jewelry–all of which could be included in the Kohl’s Black Friday ad. We want to stress that this page is purely speculative, and that there are no steep price drops yet. Nevertheless, here are some great highlights from the Kohl’s Black Friday sneak peek:

  • KitchenAid Artisan 5-qt. stand mixer (currently $399)
  • Magic Bullet Express 17-piece  blending system (currently $74.99)
  • 14K white gold princess cut 1/4 ct. diamond earrings (currently $149.99)
  • Discovery Kids cardboard playhouse (currently $29.99)
  • Vivitar Digital Video Recorder (currently $39.99)

If history repeats itself (which it usually does), then it is safe to assume that most of these items will find their way onto the Kohl’s Black Friday ad, as many of these possible doorbusters have been featured previous years. Kohl’s Will Open At Midnight for Black Friday

We’ve been hearing rumors that Kohl’s will open at midnight for Black Friday this year and today we are pleased to announce that we can officially promote it from rumor to fact. While there has been no official announcement from their corporate headquarters**, we spoke with a customer service representative at a local store who was able to confirm that, yes, it will be a midnight doorbuster.

Kohl's Black Friday 2011 Hours

Kohl’s will open its doors at midnight for Black Friday.

Kohl’s Black Friday hours were previously listed as “rumored” on our Black Friday store hours page. Now that the midnight opening is confirmed, we’ve updated our notes there as well.

Kohl’s opened its doors at 3am in 2010, so moving up the time by a full three hours is an exciting development this year. Macy’s and Target are also both planning midnight openings, creating some rather intense competition between the stores for the die-hard Black Friday midnight crowd.

To stay up to date on the latest Black Friday store hours, ads and more, sign up today for our Black Friday Email Alerts. You’ll get all of the most current Black Friday news, deals and more delivered to your inbox daily.

** 11/1/11 – Kohl’s Corp issued a press release early this morning that confirms the midnight opening, adding that they will be open for 24 hours on Black Friday – from midnight to midnight.
