If you’ve gone onto Amazon’s website, you may have noticed a new addition to its homepage: Black Friday! It’s only the start of November, but Amazon wants to kick off the Black Friday sales earlier than ever with a Countdown to Black Friday Deals Week Deals Event. It’s a little confusing, yes, but essentially Amazon is counting down to their annual Deals Week with, you guessed it, more deals.
Countdown Tickers Galore
When you navigate your way into the Amazon Black Friday page, you will notice lots of tickers counting down to zero. Every day, they will have two Deals of the Day along with Lightening Deals that have a shorter discount lifetime (these items have a 2 part lifespan: a time limit of how long it will be available and a percentage bar that limits how many of each item is sold, which ever comes first). Amazon is also letting you take a peak into the foreseeable future by checking out when upcoming deals will drop. This way, people like me don’t have to stay glued to the computer all day making sure not to don’t miss any upcoming mystery item. Who am I kidding, I stay glued to my computer, regardless.
Their Black Friday Countdown only lasts until the 24th of November, which they will then kick off Black Friday Deals Week, but you can expect this pattern of 2 Deals of the Day and Lightening Deals to last all the way up to December 22nd. That’s right, Amazon is bringing on the sales for almost 2 whole months, 24/7. These deals will include everything from electronics, toys, and tech to clothing, jewelry, home, and more.
Let Amazon Guide You Through This Holiday Season
If this is seeming like a lot to take in, don’t worry. Ben Hartman, the Vice President of Consumer Electronics for Amazon.com, wants to make sure you find exactly what you want this holiday season as stress free and simple as possible with the release of their Electronics Gift Guide.
“We’re making it easy for customers to discover and zero in on the hottest gifts and holiday trends – from streaming media players to Bluetooth portable speakers,” Hartman says. This guide will help you find the most popular gifts this holiday season for you, your family, and friends. It will have over 350 of the most wanted items, all categorized by type and even by gift recipient profiles (they have a categories called “The Trend-Setter” and “The Student”). Amazon will also feature what they’re calling “60 gifts in 60 days” in the Electronics Gift Guide, giving you a new deal on an electronic item every day through December 31st.
