Just two days ago, we predicted that Best Buy would join the growing list of retailers launching their Black Friday on Thanksgiving Night. We are happy to report that we were may have been wrong! Best Buy is listing the start date for Black Friday as November 29th on their Black Friday page.
The page is light on detail, and there’s no guarantee that they won’t also do a Thanksgiving sale to keep up with the other big boxes. We’re recalling how Best Buy reluctantly and apologetically bumped their start time to midnight in 2011 simply to stay competitive. Best Buy’s doors opened at midnight in 2012 as well, and it’s looking likely that you can count on a midnight opening again for 2013.
Of course, this is all speculative right now, so stay tuned for more details as we confirm them. Brad’s Black Friday is keeping a comprehensive list of all Black Friday store hours. We’ll also post the Best Buy Black Friday ad as soon as we have it.
