Amazon Black Friday TV Deals Aim to Compete with Best Buy

EDIT: We’re hearing reports that many of these deals are not immediately available, but will be Amazon Lightning Deals throughout the day.

Amazon has unveiled a few of the Black Friday deals you can expect to see on TVs and home theater systems. 2012 Amazon Black Friday AdThese discounts are deep, though the only two on the list that qualify for Prime shipping right now are the Roku and the Panasonic Blu-Ray player, so be sure to double check shipping costs on these before you buy.

Also note that the Toshiba 40″ LCD HDTV mentioned here appears to have the same specs as the 40″ Toshiba doorbuster at Best Buy and has been priced to match. Even with a shipping charge, this may be a good alternative to camping out at Best Buy for a doorbuster ticket.

Amazon’s Black Friday TV deals will include:

We also know that these will be on sale though Black Friday prices have yet to be announced:

Do you know if the 60″ Vizio is the exact same as Wal-Mart? I am a prime member and would definitely rather wait two days for the same TV to be shipped to my house.

  2. Sherry F says:

Brads by far the best prices. I vote for Bradd

  3. Amy C says:

Does anyone know if the Haier 32″ tv from amazon for $97 is a lightning deal? What time does Amazon’s black Friday sales start?

  4. Ann says:

I was wondering the same thing. What time does the Black Friday sale start for Amazon? … and is it EST?

  5. Michelle says:

  10. Gotti2002 says:

I have the same question– what time does the amazon Black Friday start and how many 40inch Toshiba’s will they be selling? Probably more than the 10-20 units Per store Best Buy had to offer

  11. Edith says:

I went to the amazon website and i think they are having different deals like day by day. If you go on their website you can see what is up that day and they have like a umm percentage of what is left of that item? They give you the option of subscribing to daily alerts of what is available what day.

  12. Bettie Gill says:

I am a very loyal customer; I’ve been purchasing all my electronics and many other things from Amazon.com for quite some time. I’m disabled and unable to stand in line. Online is the only shopping option that I have. I would like the 40″ Toshiba tv because the price is affordable and hassle-free for me. I would very much like to know the time that the deals will begin so that I will have an even chance.

  13. randy says:

what time does amazon put the tv’s on line to buy?

  14. [...] $97 32″ Haier LCD TV at Amazon [...]

  15. Lee says:

Neither Best Buy or Amazon seems to have better deals this year albeit lower name brand deals on the horizon. Best Buy had better or similar deals, especially Samsung, on their end of the year sales as I recall.

  16. Angela says:

when can we purchase these deals

  17. Leo Bra says:

    Hey Brad or anyone else,
Do you happen to know what time amazon will start their black friday for the deals you listed here?
If you do, could you also provide if it will be Eastern time or what….
    Thanks

  18. Brandon Nichols says:

I have been checking back daily for anything in this to be confirmed, it’s all hearsay as of now

  19. d725 says:

Sad that no one can answer our questions here…………..

  20. John says:

I called Amazon, and the rep didn’t know but checked and found it’s at midnight EST.

  21. bradi says:

Would that be tonight or Thursday night at midnight?

  22. Eddie says:

I called as well but was told midnight PST.

  23. Brandon Nichols says:

you have to look in their lightning deals and hope you come across the item for amazon

  24. LLT says:

Toshiba TV shows up at $469.00 and only 2 left!!!!! Will the price drop?

  25. Sooner says:

The 40″ Toshiba was available for a small window, not sure if they sold out at that price or will reappear tonight. I added it to my cart at $179 and got the dreaded “The price on this item has changed…” message.

  26. FH says:

Just got the Toshiba 40″ for $179, but two minutes later price back up to over $400.

Just keep refreshing and be ready to jump all over a good deal.

  27. FH says:

The TCL 40″ hit $179 at same time, still shows as available.

  28. Tara Smith says:

Just bought the toshiba 40″ at Amazon for $179 and it qualifies for Amazon prime… Free shipping

  29. David says:

What is the model # of the 40?

  30. FH says:

Hiteker 50″ just went on sale, but all claimed in less than ten seconds.

  31. FH says:

Deals seem to be hitting at the top of the hour. Suggest you open a window with item a few minutes before, keep refreshing until price drops. Then get it in your cart ASAP.

  32. STEVE says:

I JUST got off the phone with Amazon.
The 32″ Haier LCD TV is a CyberMonday special.
So 11:59:59 PM on Sunday night, I’ll be hitting Refresh to catch that deal.

  33. Frances says:

Thank you Steve – I thought it was me – I must of hit refresh a hundred times by now for the 32′ Haier LCD TV (:

  34. Jamie says:

Ohh so the info was wrong its not a black friday deal!!?? Glad i stayed up and hit refresh for the last 41 min thank you steve for sharing !!!

  35. Marcus says:

Okay, I have 3 different stories about this 32″ TV for $97. We’ve got midnight EST, midnight PST, and now Cyber Monday. Who are we to believe here? I don’t want to miss this.

  36. Susie G says:

Thanks for the info Steve! Do you have any idea what time zone?

  37. [...] number two spot is a 32 inch Haier LCD  HDTV at Amazon for $97. This deal is being reported by BradsDeals.com. This HDTV has a retail price well over $300 (and this has been confirmed at other stores). It is [...]

  38. Joe says:

I really need this tv desperately…..

  39. Gina says:

    PST and tv is $179.

  40. Leo Bra says:

These guys really lost all credibility by advertising this amazon thing wrong. Everything is getting sketchier as the minutes go by and nobody gives a dam about letting us know what they got wrong.

  41. Marcus says:

I would love to know who to complain to about this! I gave up waiting in line at Walmart for a GUARANTEED TV, and am too late to chase another deal I was following only to find out this is bogus! I will be happy if this is a Cyber Monday deal, but it doesn’t change how upset (and uber tired) I am right now waiting to see if this would be a Pacific Standard midnight deal as others have reported here.

  42. Candy says:

I want to find out about the 32 tv as well & still confused on when the price is supposed to drop..anyone with new & correct info?!

  43. Kristy says:

None of the amazon deals are as printed above. I was looking for the $97 32inch and it is $179, whats up with that???? Do we need a code??

  44. Diana says:

Rebecca Lehmann, why did you release false information in this article? As a journalist, it is your duty to print reliable information. I waited on Black Friday and Amazon never matched Best Buy’s Toshiba price. Where did you get this bad information from as they should be exposed.

  45. Miranda says:

I am so upset by this. I trusted that the information being provided was accurate and as a result, I passed up a guaranteed Black Friday 32″ at Walmart. Now, here I sit with baited breath-anxiously waiting for 11:59pm PST-waiting for that super small chance in hell that this really is a Cyber Monday special. This mis-step unfortunately tarnishes my perception of this Organization. It will also end up costing me and many others significantly more money now that Black Friday is over.

  46. Autumn says:

I have watched amazons site since midnight on Black Friday and have not been able to find the 40 in toshiba on sale. So I was thinking maybe they will have it for cyber Monday but still no luck. I didn’t go to best buy and just camp out and get it due to information I read on this site, that it would be available at amazon. Does anyone know of another good sale on a 40 in flat screen???
