First Black Friday 2012 Ad Leaked: Sprint Offering the Samsung Galaxy S III for $49.99 on Black Friday

10/8/12 – As of this past weekend, the price on the Samsung Galaxy S3 already has dropped to $99.99 with 2-year contract with Sprint. Verizon’s offering with 2-year contract is $139 and the same deal via AT&T is currently $119.

The first Black Friday 2012 ad of the year has leaked!

We know, it’s not even Halloween yet, but Sprint is already thinking forward to the holiday season. Thanks to anonymous tip given to engadget, we know that Sprint will offer the the Samsung Galaxy S III for only $49.99 on November 23, 2012. This deal will be available ONLY on Black Friday! According to the leaked ad, you will be saving $150 on the Samsung Galaxy S III at Sprint if you agree to a two-year contract. Supplies are expected to be limited, so plan to get there early to get your hands on the Samsung Galaxy S III at this incredibly low price.

The lowest price we found on the Samsung Galaxy S III is $179.99 with a 2 year contract at Best Buy, so the Sprint Black Friday 2012 promotion offers $130 in total savings from the current lowest priced deal that we found for that phone.

Samsung Galaxy S III Features:

  • Thin & Light: At only 4.7 oz and 8.6mm thick, this phone will not weigh you down
  • Amazing Software: Android 4.0
  • Massive Storage: The Samsung Galaxy S III comes with 3 different storage capacities: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB, and has a microSDXC slot, offering a maximum of 128GB of possible storage.

One thing to note is that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is rumored to be slated for a February 2013 release, so look for prices on the Galaxy S III to drop significantly just a few months after this Black Friday sale. We think Sprint will be looking to offload as much of the old stock as possible, and packaging it as a Black Friday deal would be one way to do that. So if you know you’re going to want an S4, or if you just miss out on the Black Friday price, you probably aren’t missing too much by waiting until after the first of the year.

We will not be surprised if other cell phone carriers like AT&T and Verizon create similar deals to compete with this one. We will be sure to keep you posted if these offers are leaked/released!

Why would Sprint offer their already #1 selling phone at such a discount? Wouldn’t it make more sense to offer EVO at a reduced price? Probably why Apple maintains the drawing they do, because they don’t cheapen their product.

  5. melvin says:

Number one sprint is doing this to get customers and 2 sprint isn’t in competition with apple android is competing with apple duhh lol. I for one am getting this early

  6. Vic says:

Sprint is doing this because of a few factors…

    1) Because of the economy a lot of their customers haven’t been renewing their contracts. This is an issue with all wireless networks.

    2) With the growing number of people out of work, more and more people are trying to trim their bills the best they can, or put off getting that phone upgrade.

You drop this phone to $50.00 and do a Phone buy-back program (such as Srpint already does) the actual price of the upgrade goes down anywhere to $40.Something to where Sprint is Paying you (or crediting your bill). I checked their website and their buy back program will give me $38.00 for my Evo 4G (The orignal one) $50.00 – $38.00 Means I only pay $12.00!

I usually sit out Black Friday, But this year I’m thinking of getting to a Sprint Store and renewing my contract & getting me a sweet $12.00 Upgrade!
