Department store chain Stage Stores Inc, which owns Bealls, Palais Royal, Peebles, Stage and Goody’s, has released its 2014 Black Friday ad, and it seems the Thanksgiving Day sales trend isn’t slowing down any time soon.
This year’s Black Friday sale will be a two-parter: the first will begin at 4pm on Thanksgiving Day and last until 1am on Friday morning, and the second will pick up at 6am Friday morning and last until 3pm that afternoon. Friday shoppers will be entered into a drawing to win the employee discount for one year, and this will be awarded to one customer at every store.
It seems this is Stage Stores’ way of appeasing the anti-Black Thursday crowd while still keeping up with Black Friday giants like Macy’s and Kohl’s, which both also open on Thursday. Shoppers who want to avoid the mall on Thanksgiving can still catch exclusive Stage Stores sales on Friday morning, and those who don’t mind shopping on a traditionally family-oriented holiday can get the best of both worlds. And of course, anyone who wants to stay home to shop can get the same sales online.
Doorbusters include 50 percent off kids’ toys, a $99.99 32″ Proscan HDTV, a $49.99 Proscan tablet with case and keyboard, $39.99 Nuband watch/activity trackers and much more. Customers who spend over $50 get a free stocking stuffer or $10 gift card, which is redeemable between December 26 and January 31.
